Bring the empty needles to WP and set the machine to hold position for partial knitting. Put all the needles except the first two on the left in hold. Knit 2 rows. *Bring next 2 needles on the left side to WP and knit 2 rows*. Repeat * to * until all the stitches are in WP< . RC 22. This completes one section. Knit < to < 11 more times, altogether 12 sections. Take off with WY. Decide whether you like the right side of the doily of the wrong side (I personally like the look of the wrong side). Join the open stitches from the 1st row and the last row on the machine or by grafting. Secure the loose yarn ends. With a darning needle and MY thread around the middle hole and pull it together to make the hole smaller. Secure yarn ends.

Trim: With wrong side facing & using a 3-prong tool hang the edge stitches of the doily on to 3 needles. Knit 6 rows. Hang the edge on to the next 3 needles and knit 6 rows. **Transfer the first set of 3 stitches of the trim on to the next set of 3 stitches. Bring the next 3 needles and hang the edge and knit 6 rows**. Continue ** to ** all around the doily. After transferring the last 3 stitches do not knit another 6 rows, cast off. Join the trim with a darning needle.
